Making connections, spreading ideas.

  • Leadership book.

Jae is researching and writing a book on leadership. The hypothesis is that individuals from communities of difference have leadership knowledge and wisdom that is often discounted and discarded because it sits outside the accepted leadership archetype predicated on the straight, white, cis-gendered male norm. The aim of the book is to elevate and share this wisdom for a world in need different kinds of leaders.

  • Workshops.

Jae is developing a workshop with a friend and colleague that will integrate practical body work exercises with knowledge sharing and group discussion so attendees can map a pathway to their inner knowing. Inner knowing is having a strong sense of our true self that leads to feeling healthy, awake and alive. We experience inner knowing when we see and accept ourselves without judgement. Connecting with our inner knowing can lead to healing. Inner knowing leads to understanding more fully our purpose in life and connecting with that purpose in an ongoing, meaningful way.

Jae is developing another workshop focused on identity. Specific individual and group exercises will explore the concept of identity at the intersection of our minds, bodies, and spirits to create context and build understanding of one’s identity. We will also incorporate the experience of portrait photography as a practical exercise and way into personal exploration of identity through self-witness.

  • Podcasts.

Both the leadership book and workshop in development offer rich content ideal for podcasts. Jae will be working independently and in partnership with others to develop concepts for podcasts as one additional way to make connections and spread ideas.
